Initial Education Course Triage Specialist

Introduction

The initial triage course is a vocational course that combines learning and working. With the four modules as a theoretical foundation, the knowledge and professional skills necessary for safe and effective triage are acquired. The education received during this course ensures that a candidate triage specialist meets all requirements for certification as triage specialist.

This course is meant for

  • Medical assistants
  • Attendants
  • General practitioners
  • Medical students from year 5 onwards
  • MBO-4 healthcare professionals

Admission

In order to be admitted into this programme, a candidate triage specialist has to meet the following entry and experience requirements. The candidate triage specialist:

  • Possesses a recognized diploma by a healthcare education institution at MBO level 4
  • Has at least one year’s work experience in a healthcare position
  • Is employed by a GP surgery
